June 28 2009

Proverbs 28:2 ->inability to have sustained leadership is a sign of sinfulness---probably in churches too!

Proverbs 28:5 ->Why a political leader's beliefs are important.

Proverbs 28:9 ->Some people's only prayer should be one of repentance

Proverbs 28:19 ->Either way, you'll have plenty!

Galatians 4:8-10 ->Is there something here about not being culturally driven in our churches?

Galatians 6:5 ->GET TO WORK!

1 Peter 1:13 -> Be ready! This is a combat metaphor!!

The motivational quote today is by Peter Topping, and it's long. It's basically saying that the goal of leadership is to get people to do what they are good at for the benefit of themselves and the organization. Which is true, and shouldn't take the 6 sentences he used.

Prayer: Lord God, we Southern Baptists have convened, discussed, argued, and moved. Now, will You move us? Engender in us the passionate spirit of seeking the lost. And let us make the commitment and hold to the task we are given in Your name. Amen

Moving toward the Horizon,
Doug
