Yesterday’s sermon didn’t feel quite right. I mean, it wasn’t that I was preaching anything that was wrong. Nor was I not preaching what I felt the Lord led me to preach. It just felt like I was more awkward with the wording and pacing than I should have been. Preaching is a weird practice. There’s not a great way to evaluate it beyond “did I say what I was supposed to say?” and “Did the words ‘in conclusion’ draw a standing ovation?”
That being said, here’s the sermon from yesterday. I’m not fishing for compliments nor am I fishing for constructive criticism. One of these days I’m going to put together a sermon feedback group but I’ll ask for volunteers then.
